I've been chatting to Lenovo about their new Thinkpad X1 Extreme coming out next quarter.  Specifically with respect to external display support.  The operator said it will support 4 independent displays.  5120x2880@30Hz (Thunderbolt) and 4096x2160@60Hz (HDMI).  I have 3x Samsung C24F390FHE 23.5inch Curved LED Monitor which are 1920x1080.  I don't do gaming, just general everyday use with the convenience of 3 monitors.

I was wondering whether the info provided, will support my 3 (HDMI connection) monitors through 1 Thunderbolt port (with appropriate adaptor).

I just don't understand how the maths works if there is a frequency relationship and total resolution to take into account.

Many thanks.
