Does mining affect internet speed?

I can't play games online while downloading games from steam, would my internet be slow like that if I'm mining on the same computer/different computer? Or can I still game if mining 24/7

I don't think so. I looked into this very briefly and it uses next to no bandwidth.

What affects speed, or rather network signal, is having multiple mining rigs with wireless adapters hanging around. We've got 3 rigs here, plus my desktop pc, plus 2 iphones, plus a laptop and ipad, all on wireless adapters. A lot of times, the reception on my desktop is good but i feel my ping is much higher and sometimes the signal drops momentarily. I have a shitty trendnet brp router though.
