Link to .exe

So, i work on a school and i need to put a link in every pc on the school's lab. But it could be a problem for the students to run it if it is in the notepad. There is any way to make a link executable?

If you work at a school (not on)... I'm sure you have some virtualization set up for each of the lab machines? If not, do you use SCCM to push out and redeploy images?

 

At the very least, I'm assuming they are members of a domain and you should use group policy to add links to the desktop.
