M.2 for games worth it?

just wondering if its worth upgrading to m.2 Nvme from SSD Sata to put games on? already have windows on a M.2 Nvme

Nope.   Concerning SSD's, just go with best size/price.  If a half-ass NVMe (Ie. Intel 660p) is cheaper than a SATA M.2 SSD, get it.  Otherwise you won't notice load times for gaming increasing.

Meh. Games will load a bit faster than a standard SSD, but then you'd have to justify the point of wasting money on an NVMe SSD just for games when they're likely more useful for general data.

yeah i get you so probably best to get another m.2 for stuff i use on the hard drive?

If it were me, I'd replace your Seagate HDD with a 1TB SSD, whichever flavor you want.

 

Intel's 660p 1TB is a good option.  Of course, if you want to swing another 970 EVO....

 

Edit:  If you have money burning a hole.   There is no NEED to do it, it's not holding you back or anything.  Don't want to make it sound like there's an issue.
