Problem with oneplus 6 emoticons

Hello. I'm having a problem with my oneplus 6 keyboard. The keyboard has a sections with emoticons where the face icon is:

The problem is that there used to be a lot more sections with other types of emoticons showing on the blank area that I highlited:

But that option disapeared a few days ago. I have the latest gboard version instaled and also oxygenOS 9.0.5. If anyone has had the same problem or knows how to fix it please let me know. Thank you.
