Lexicon alpha interface causes headphone to be slightly panned right

OnlyAxolotl

I have Lexicon alpha interface that I haven't used for years.

I have a Hyper X Cloud 2 headset that I have use the onboard usb interface for ages. The sound comes out both ears fine.

When I use the Lexicon interface with a proper condenser set up and have my headphones plugged into the front port on the lexicon alpha there is a SLIGHT pan to the right of the headphones. I would say the right ear is about 25% louder than the left.

I have tried updating drivers doing everything else. I don't have another interface to test unfortunately.

What could be the cause of this. I don't see how dodgy wires or otherwise could cause a slight pan, surely it would just work or not out of one ear.

I realise this isn't even med end gear but I can't afford to buy anything else currently.

Can anyone help?

  • I would contact Lexicon (if possible)
  • Go back to the usb sound card on the hyper X clouds
  • Pan it the other way to fix it (super ghetto)
