When i build this PC, 6 months ago, i applied on the i7 9700k the NOCTUA NT-H1, decent paste better than the Arctic Silver 5.

Today applied the GC-Extreme, the results are far better than expected, minus 3c at idle and minus 5c at load.

I recommend it, the best paste so far i have seen!!

The air cooler is a cheap 35$. But i replace the fan with 2 Corsair ML Pro, push/pull.

Holy moly... minus temps at air cooling? You live in the Arctic by any chance ?

I swapped from the Noctua stuff to Arctic MX-4 2019 and found I get more consistent temps. Found no matter how I applied the Noctua, I was getting mad core to core differences.

I wouldn't say it was bad for general use but when pushing the CPU on mad overclocks, the 2nd and 5th core often got 5-10 degrees hotter than the next hottest on a Prime 95 run with temps reported by Hardware Info. Found with the Arctic, all cores wound up relatively even under the same sort of conditions.

Not saying your experience was wrong coz it's different to mine, just wanted to share what I was getting with this new MX-4 mix.
