Hi,

i have an intel 9700k and a corsair 360mm AIO (150i pro). Under full load the CPU temps are about 63 °C without any OC. I also have tried a Scythe FUMA ... and i am getting nearly same results (or even better if it is not under full load). Have i done something wrong with the AIO or is it just that even a 360mm AIO isn t much better than a good air-cooler?

It's not that much better. It's just space efficient and more quiet I guess. I have moded Cooler Master 212 Evo (I set the stock fan to low RPMs as it was too loud and added Noctua fan from the other side :D ). In total it reduced noise a bit and reduced temperatures to about 68-70 °C at full load with 21 degrees as ambient temperature. (peak temperatures for individual cores tend to rise up to 75-80 degrees sometimes). I expect my i7-9700K to work at 60-75 °C in summer when my room will be 30+ °C.

The surface area of the CPU used to transfer heat is the bottleneck of your cooling, but don't worry. Anything below 85 degrees is fine (my threshold, at 90+ degrees I would shut down the PC and buy myself better aircooler+larger case or watercooling solution)
