Rust will not start!!

When i click on rust it does not start. it only shows a grey screen with the facepunch logo in the middle. how do i get this to work?

How long have you let it run before closing out? It could simply be an issue with it being a little slow to load - I even noticed a slow down on my PC.

i let it run for about 3 hours now.
