Wifi Adapter with multiple anntennas

Go to solution Solved by scottyseng,

The antennas are used as lanes. You can potentially use 3 lanes in 3 x 3 array for WiFi these days (some devices even have 4)

I was watching this video about the ALFA AC1900 WIFI Adapter and I wanted to know what does having multiple wifi antennas do on a client? are ones used for 2.4 Ghz and others for 5Ghz (I doubt that since you can't be connected to both at the same time) or do they just help receive more signal acting as one big antenna
