Finding a Quiet Projector

Im trying to find a projector that I can use in my room that is relatively quiet. It would be a long throw projector as it would be about 12ft away from the wall. I understand that projectors produce a lot of heat and it needs to be dissipated but are there any relatively quiet ones out there? I would say my price range is around £400-£500.

I have no idea... but was just thinking... in that budget you could buy 4 cheap TVs and make a frame to hold the 4 lcd panels and you got yourself a big screen.

For example, local stores sell here a 32" 1080p TV for around 130 UK pounds (in your currency)... could easily remove the plastic housing and speakers and various stuff you don't need to get the panels as close as possible to each other (with some support/frame on the back) and then a simple video card with 4 display outputs could render a 4K image on your wall. Basically 4 HDMI inputs in an 2x2 setup.

Then it would be up to you if that tiny separation between panels is annoying enough compared to poor contrast and brightness of a projector.
