I was thinking upgrading my current CPU to amd 3xxx once it comes out. My motherboard is Gigabyte aourus b450 m. Is the CPU compatible with my motherboard?

yes, but it'll require a bios update (i think?) and i wouldn't go to the 12 core

Any B450 will support the new cpu, but for the 12 core, it is safer to get the x470, as not all B450 will support it.

something 8 core or less

 

(1700(x), 1800x, 2700(x), 3700(x) and 3800(x) in 8 cores)

 

but we know little yet, since we don't have any real testing yet
