In-ear vs headset

Hunlight

Hello,

I have razer thresher ultimate, for both ps4 + pc simultaneous usage, works perfectly fine, good quality (Im not audio maniac so cant tell difference between them and 100 eur headset). Only thing that bothers is their enormous size I cant wear them for more than a few hours without any pain. its just hurts both my ears and head. Im still using those just coz I pad freaking tons of cash for them and I dont have alternative for both ps4 + pc simultaneous usage.

Please advice if there is any other options for ps4+ pc usage, as I need to use discord for example on pc + game on ps4 and so on.

I though about in ear phones for pc only, as most of the time I use only pc but how good in-ear phones for pc gaming is ? like razer thresher god simulation (or real Idk) 7.1 dolby stuff it like makes difference for me in some of the games.

I though about razer hammers but not sure if they worth their almost or over 100 eur price?

Also I got mine samsung note 9 in ear phones which came with the phone, pretty nice quality, but little bit too short cable :/

I personally dont like in ear for gaming, the sound quality just isnt up to par for me.

if youre looking for a comfortable headset, I'd recommend the hyper x cloud revolver s. it has usb with built in 7.1. works with pc and ps4. and it is very comfortable. I dont feel any pressure on the top of my head, and I have very large stretched ear lobes, so the ear cups push against them, but they are comfortable enough to no cause an issue unlike other models I have tried that put too much pressure on my ears.

yeah exactly that as Im streaming some times or jsut speaking with friends via skype/discord/steam etc and playing on ps4 so thats why I went with those razer one as those can be connected via cable to ps4 (station) and another cable to pc and just wireless connection to the station for both sounds in same time.

so doing a little research there are a couple different ways to do it, but you'll have cables running from the headset to the ps4 and pc which would just be a mess. and I'm not really sure of any other more comfortable wireless headsets that have a base station like your razer setup.

actually. It looks like the logitec g933 allows you to do exactly what you want, and it looks like it has bigger ear cups than the razor, so it is probably more comforatble.

Actually I looked those up the day when I was considering them, and it seems lots of people were complaining that they couldnt do that. :/ so I went safe road with razer as one of my friends already used those.

I'm not sure what kind of budget you're working with here, this option is gonna be the most expensive, but probably the best.

you would need to buy a mix amp as well as which ever new headset you decide on.

youd basically connect the ps4 and pc to the mix amp, then plug your headset into that so you get the audio from both. then you would only have 1 cable running from the mix amp to your headset. or if you got a mix amp with usb output you could then probably use a different wireless headset

yeah that was the plan from the beginning but those things is very hard to get in my country and china one takes ages to come. I think will stay with those razer one as I mby, mby will be able to sell those for like 90 eur now, and even those logitech is like 180 eur here :/

Idk what to do :/ If I would go with amp, could u suggest some which would work for what I wanna do like pc +ps4 ? as well as cheaper headphones (like 100 eur~) to use with and if possible with 7.1

hmm.

well I cant really be sure about getting it in your country, but it looks like a lot of people use the astro mix amps for this.

any mix amp with an optical & usb input should work though.

optical would go to the ps4, usb to the pc then output by 3.5mm jack to headset.

I can see switch for pc to ps4 on it, will it work with both of them same time?

Little bit pricey, so probably will stick with my razer headset for now and ruin my ears further :D

yes. that works for both at the same time. its expensive, but it is the cleanest solution.

The thing with in ears are they typically dont have the same sound stage and overall with and imaging as a good headphonenbut unfortunately Yu out just made a bad choice in headset. If you want a decent in ear for gaming grab a tin hifi t2 relatively cheap has a nice flat sound signature and imaging and soundstage is among the best within the iem space
