Hardware Required For A Web Server

I want to host my own web server (on linux)  What kind of hardware do I need to make a web server?

I am fine building a normal desktop but I have never strayed into server territory.

If you want a basic webserver basically everything is fine. It's all about the configuration.

Once you get some constant traffic only then do you need to figure out what's causing issues and upgrading.

For a project to just mess about with it, it really doesn't matter what you get. Only requirement i would say that you have is that it needs to have a wired connection.

Ok I see but I want to know if I am dealing with Pentiums, Core i9s, or zeons.

I'd rec cheap used Xeons. E3-1240 v1/v2 should be fine
