Write protection

ringo

Hello, I have Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 Red stick but suddenly I got a message that my USB is write protected. I tried some solution like command prompt (disk part), Mini tool program, format in safe mode and Linux, EaseUS program but none of them can format usb stick. Is there solution to remove write protection?

Usually when this happens it's because the NAND has decided it doesn't want to do any more writes. I've had a few flash drives do it, never found a way to reverse it yet.

You could try a low level format but be warned, chances are it will kill the drive entirely rather than fix it.
