Hello,

I'm currently looking for a new GPU for the PC for my father.

He plays Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storms mostly.

He's currently playing at 1080p @ 60 hz.

I want to buy him a new GPU and probably a monitor later on but I want to mainly focus on a GPU for now.

I want him to run those games 1440p @ 144hz.

I've always been with NVIDIA for gpu's but AMD is looking good these days.

I might be too chicken to switch to AMD and regret it.

So far I've been looking at RX 570 8GB, GTX 1660 6GB or GTX 1060 6GB...

Current Build:

CPU: i7-2600K

MB: P8Z68-V Pro

RAM: 8GB DDR3

GPU: GTX 580

PSU: 750W

Your thoughts please ^^

Go for the 570 and save money at same performance as nVidia.  With the saved money grab him a SSD.  I hope the CPU is overclocked, if not then it will create a bottleneck and what not.

sustaining 144fps@1440p on those game gonna be hard imo.

i suggest aim for a good Freesync monitor when you want to upgrade it.\

if you have budget for 1660, go for it.

Yeah it's good, get the Rx 570 or 1660 (if the price is the same)

If price is the same, no reason to get 570. ?
