Need suggestions

My brother is looking for a decent gaming laptop that can play Old School Runescape(I know >.>) at decent settings with a 5ghz wifi adapter and possibly a backlit keyboard(no clue why he thinks this is necessary.)

He wants to keep it around 400, but I am not sure what direction to steer him in.

A higher budget or give up the backlit keyboard. That's gonna be the hardest feature to fit in that price range.

Most laptops have a 5GHz compatible network card (anything with Wifi5 (802.11ac) will work for that), so that seems like a non issue.

Lemme look around and I'll come back.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

I'm sure he'd be fine without having the backlit keyboard.

If he came to me and asked me to build him a desktop, I'd be on it, laptops just aren't in my realm lol.

Dell coming through with the budget options yet again: https://www.newegg.com/p/1TS-000A-03CK8

It's also available with a 128GB SSD instead of a 1TB hard drive. So you've got a few options: https://www.newegg.com/p/1TS-000A-03XF4

EDIT:

Found an A12 based laptop as well. Different processor but still the same performance as the i3 Dells https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Display-A12-9720P-Bluetooth-Earphone/dp/B0748YG81P/ref=sr_1_5?fst=as%3Aoff&qid=1558471555&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A7817224011%2Cp_36%3A-40000&rnid=2421885011&s=pc&sr=1-5
