M.2 invisible!!

So this is a new Ryzen build, I have 2 M.2 drives installed, the main works fine, in the upper slot on the mobo, the 2nd M.2 on the lower slot on the mobo is not recognized. Not very familiar with using 2 M.2's, is there something special I need to enable in the bios or something, otherwise I am lost. The mobo is a Aorus Gigabyte B450. Thanks for any help.

Check the manual. 

Usually the 2nd slot only support sata m.2

 

M.2 is the slot name whereas NVME and Sata SSD is the type of SSDs. 

 

So if you bought 2 NVME drives it will only work on the 1st slot. There are maybe an adapter that could convert NVME so it can be used in sata mode but I don't know.. I never use or seen such thing.

All the Aorus B450 boards with two M.2 slots are listed as below in the specs:

...so it doesn't show up because it doesn't support SATA.

They are both Sata m.2 drives?
The first slot supports Nvme and sata. The second only supports sata.
The second port will most likely share lanes with a physical sata port or two.
Read your manual and find out how to enable that m.2 port.
You may have to enable the power manually and also disable the sata ports that it's sharing.

It's not a race to the bottom.

@KLIKKZZZ The second slot only supports NVMe, which is the issue.

If I may make a suggestion: why not get one larger NVMe drive and run in the first slot (full speed NVMe) and return both of the SATA drives?
