Against the Rules?

Is it against the rules to promote the sale of an item (user's prudcuct) on the LTT forums? I read the rules but I don't remember seeing anything about that in there.

yes this was brought up in a post the other day, their isnt currently a traded forum

4.2 Advertising

Any sort of advertisement on Linus Tech Tips that has little or no relation to Linus Media Group, or is not affiliated with Linus Media Group in any way will be considered spam and removed from the boards. This also pertains to signatures and/or profile information.

In addition to advertising, you may not sell any item via the forums or advertise links to third party sites (EBay, Kijiji, etc.) where you have sales posted.

Pretty much any form of advertising is probably against the CoC, 'cept deals in the Hot Deals sub-forum.

Probably not a thing to announce publicly when it is a rule to read the CoC. Kind of weird considering you wouldn't know without reading but still :)

Probably why i have 4 warning points, mods are strict as fuck on here.
