Hello All

Im trying to build a high end gaming pc for a 1440p 165 hz display with G-sync. My budget is around 2000$. Im not sure if the components i picked will be using their full potential when i assemble it. Is the motherboard ok ? Should i pick air cooler over water ? Is the speed of the ram ok ? Will it bottleneck ?

Im open for any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am pretty sure this build will be absolutely functional, there should be no bottleneck, the mobo is OK,I would personally go with water coolling as you have aslo sellected and of course your ram speed and ram itself is OK.

,To sum up,yes, they will use their full potential

That board is pretty crappy for the money. The Gigabyte in Hermans spec has a much better VRM. Obviously a cheaper case/psu means you can get a better gpu like the Radeon VII as shown above, or an RTX 2080.

Gotta make that budget work for you!

All elements here will overclock that i7-9700K, and still fit an RTX 2080 Ti.

For a savings without much performance loss, you could grab this board and/or this cooler. I went mid/higher end to show this monster GPU isn't even squeezing quality out of the rest of the build. (The alternative combo would actually set the build up for a nice red on black look throughout.)

This case rules (sexy airflow, RGB fans, etc.) and frankly those big AIOs are a total waste. The Noctua or Dark Rock Pro 4 will outblow them and are even quieter than most. Especially in a case like this. If you wanted an AIO, you could use this one with this case for an extra sexy RGB effect, plenty of cooling and without wasting a ton of money.
