It works now!! Thanks for the help!!

I want to start a minecraft server on my new PC, but the JAR file for the server is not executable.

Under type the file is a "JAR File", and when i move it over to my older PC it says "executable JAR File" witch it need to be in order to start the server.

I have tried to install the same JAVA version as my older PC uses but it still only says "JAR File". When i double click the JAR file a Command prompt window flashes and nothing happens.

What can i do so the "JAR File" Becomes a "Executable JAR File"?

Does your old PC have Java runtime environment installed?

If so, then maybe your current PC doesn't have that

I don't know, i just downloaded JAVA from from https://www.java.com/sv/download/. Do i need to download some more stuff?

That was just a shot in the dark, check your installed programs before attemptingto install it, cause that might not be the issue.

Check my installed programs for what?

If the program 'jave runtime environment' is already installed or not.

Alternatively, you can check your old PC if that's installed there (if you have access to it.

That's what my brief google search gave me at least, maybe you can find something more in depth if you searched a bit.

Not really sure tbh

The only installed program that i think is related to JAVA is: "Java 8 Update 211(64-bit)", so i don't think i have "jave runtime environment".
