Fans

I added a Dark Rock Pro 4 to my system today. Following installation both CPU fans (plugged into CPU Fan header with Y splinter) and one of the front case fans (plugged to Sys Fan 3 Header) were not working. I rechecked the cables were plugged all the way in. I eventually got the Dark Rock fans spinning by plugging to the CPU OPT header. The case fan is still not working. I'm thinking some of the fan connectors are damaged. I have no more free fan connectors. My current plan to fix is to get a Y connector and plug the non functioning fan into one of the other headers that are working. Any other suggestions?

Have you checked what speed the fan header is set to? Try setting it to 100% rpm and seeing if the fan still doesn't start up.

I tried maxing out the fans when i saw the CPU cooler fans weren't running.  The fan which is currently not working also have a solid white LED on it which is also not lit, so I think the problem is more that it is not receiving power.

Have you tried swapping the fans that are spinning and the ones that aren't and seeing if the problem persists with the fans or the motherboard header?

That is my next planned step when I get home tomorrow.  The fan in Sys Fan 2 is working, so if the fan still doesn't work, I need a new fan and if it does then I need the Y splitter to put 2 fans on the same header.
