hard drive enclosures

Saladface35421

I removed my laptop's HDD and replaced it with kingston ssd for obvious reasons, while installing windows it turns out my ssd was formatted with FAT32 and my OG HDD was already formatted (rookie mistake), turns out windows installer cannot re-format ssd when connected through the internal SATA connection, installing my OG HDD and running windows installer and plugging in SSD with external hard rive enclosure (USB based) and formatting it through windows installer is possible. Bottom line make sure you have another working computer for troubleshooting and save your soul.
