im trying to do something simmiar to what linus did a while ago and i need help with the BMS. i am running 3x4 18650 batterys for a total of 12v. i need help finding a BMS and what all the terms mean

If i understand you correctly you are running 4 sets of 3x18650 in series?

 

a if memmory serves a BMS is just a circuit board that measures and delivers power between cells, this way one of your cells in the series set does not get overcharged.

 

you can get circuit cards that handle one set at the time, though they are dirt cheap and easy to wire.

for your 3x4 you would need 4 of them, though i would recomend just buying a bunch.
