do the settings matter?

so i have a rtx 2070 graphics card .. and being i do more editing then gaming in the nivida program i switch the settings to creator in stead of gamer  

if you dont switch that back to gaming or vice vers dose it matter or make a difference .. will it affect game performance if i dont switch it back to gamer?

so in other words switch it to creator and leave it there ? 

sounds like its going to get the best performance all the way across the board
