Have you checked the file is still present?

If you hit Shift+Delete on a file, ignore the confirmation dialog, select the file again, and press Shitf+Delete, there's a distinct possibility of multiple confirmation dialogs popping up, and clicking Yes on all of them will produce such an error.

Take a look at the 5th solution. When you enter a black line for the new name of the file it will delete it instead.
