Gskill Trident Z RGB - Colours

Hey LTT,

I have had a set of 2x8GB Trident Z RGB sticks for over a year now and have decided to upgrade that with another 2x8 kit. I ordered the same model from the same website and the sticks went in and work perfectly.

The problem I have is the LEDs on the new sticks seem to be a slightly different shade of colour (regardless of colour but more obvious on certain ones like purple or lime green). The new kit is a tad darker compared to the old, Is this normal?

Chances are it may be a slight change in the diffuser used. They likely changed it from the run you first got to the new run if all things else equal and the product SKU is 100% exactly the same.
