So rather frequently after using the computer for awhile and then shutting it off, and turning it back on. I tend to get an issue with Windows preparing Automatic Repair loop but I've also had the motherboard splash screen loop without the repair loop.

 

I'm thinking it has something to do with the BIOS or CMOS or the ram itself. The ram is basically the same model except the addition of one letter and a slightly darker grey on the heat spreader, everything else seems to be the same. 

The older stick's model number is BLS8G4D240FSB and the new one is BLS8G4D240FSBK
