i9 9900k OC problems

This is my first time overclocking my cpu. I followed the instructions on the linked video to a T, except to the voltage of the cpu, as i didnt know what my cpu could handle. im averaging just over 4 ghz and peaking at 4.6. My highest cinebench score is 4714 if that helps any troubleshoot for me.

This cpu has a turbo boost to 5 Ghz.

Leave it alone there with default settings in bios, it is more than enough.

The CPU Core Voltage will vary from one i9-9900K to another.

Yours might need 1.35V for 5.0 GHz to be stable.

 

This is usually why I typically recommend these guides to be...a guideline to get you started.

IMO, the best way to find out what YOUR CPU is capable of, is to do the manual labor yourself...like a real OG overclocker.

Start at the base clock 3.6 GHz, and gradually work your way up.

 

....just like tuning/modding a car, you don't go from stock 250 HP up to 700 HP at one go by following a build guide online...
