I'm looking to build out my work from home setup. The supplied computer is a 2018 macbook pro 15 inch (i7, 256 GB SSD, 32 GB ram, 555x), and I'm building out the rest of my setup:

4x dell u2718q (I need something vesa compatible)

2x double monitor arms

4x display port to display port

4x display port to USB C

Uniqey Q100, switch and cap swap

magic trackpad

Logitech MX ergo

Bluetooth mixer

Floor desk and chair

I will be using this setup with the screen open also using the native screen at 2880x1800.

So I have a few questions about this potential setup:

- Can I daisy chain the monitors together and still maintain 60hz on each monitor?

- If not, what are some recommendations for a hub or dock so I can input power and still have 60hz refresh rate on each monitor?

- Do I need any cooling for this setup? Ambient air in the next room over should be at 80 F, 5% RH

- How early of an early grave will I send my MBP to with this setup with/without cooling?

For a dock it’s expensive but good: https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Thunderbolt-Charging-Compatible-DisplayPort/dp/B075M1XHCK

Get 2 of these https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-43LF621U19-43-inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B07D4F2P26 I know it’s a TV but massive screen space and you can window manage it

Get this mouse pircey but worth it https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Cross-Computer-Control-Graphite/dp/B071YZJ1G1

I’m starting to sound like a broken record player but this is awesome https://www.amazon.com/Das-Keyboard-Professional-Mechanical-DASK3MKPROSIL/dp/B008PFDUW2 or an ergomic keyboard https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Natural-Ergonomic-Keyboard-Business/dp/B004SUIM4E

Make sure to verify that everything plugs in or get subs c to usb 3.0 adapter

Get a good standing desk from your local brick and mortar store along with a chair, as it is too valuable (and big) to be shipped online

I think you can daisy chain though IDK

you computer won’t melt

Open the freaking window jk

There are adapters that support dual 4K@60Hz from one Thunderbolt 3 connection.

Displayport daisy chaining will not support 4x4K monitors. To daisy chain, monitors must support the feature.

To daisy chain monitors using Thunderbolt 3, the monitors would have to use Thunderbolt 3 connections.

Consider a cooling pad.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
