Hi on my pc win 8.1 i got this error message and there is nothing on my desktop but the apps are still on my pc: C:\windows/system32/config/systemprofile/

Desktop

All i did was sign out by accident and sign back in and it happened. I cant search for any apps either and the start screen is empty.

Plzzz help

You'll need to format and reinstall. 

 

Or try booting with the disk in and do system recovery. 

 

Oh wait... Just read the file name. Just reboot the computer. Your user profile is corrupt. Virus's likely. Reboot, and login as a guest. From there do a system restore perhaps?
