Suggest buying Clevo barebones from HIDevolution. Add RAM and storage by your own if not enough for lower cost

Im going to study in computer science and I need to buy a new laptop. My budget is around 1500$ ( less expensive is better but I can afford more if it is reasonably priced ). I want my laptop to last 4-6 hours (casual web surfing, taking note, stuff that college students usually do in their classes) and shouldn't be too hot while gaming/light rendering. It should have a decent keyboard for typing (dont really need it to be full size). About the screen: 144hz if possible, good color accuracy for watching cats video.

My preferred spec :

- i7 8750H

-going to stick with this laptop for the next 5-6 years so Gtx 1060

-16gb of ram

-512gb ssd

I have been checking out the Lenovo Y730 (1050ti) but dunno whether they have keyboards like a standard Thinkpad's.

I really like the design of Lenovo P52 ( if only it hadn't had p1000) and the gs65 (build quality isn't great)

Another option for me is to buy an ultrabook + external GPU since I already have a 1050ti at home. However, most ultrabooks have a U processor so idk :/

I doubt 1060 can last 5-6 years, even 2080 will not last that long

Im living in vietnam right now, but can wait till august and buy a laptop in the US. It shouldn't be heavier than 2.5kg. if you have any recommendations on the gpu feel free to suggest.

Then ask again for recommendations when you're buying

sr for my late reply, just got home after visiting my grandparents. Yes, I can wait till august but It seems like a good time for me to buy a 2018 laptop. I don't really want to spend money on Ray tracing since most games don't support this feature (yet). Furthermore, I should spend some time getting used to my laptop because I only arrive in the US on the first day of class.

Im going out for dinner with my relatives (today is a holiday in Vn) so I might not be able to reply to you right away. Sorry for this inconvenience. I will try to respond as soon as possible.
