Stream Settings for twitch

I was wondering what should I use for streaming? it's a 1pc setup. I have a 2700x and a gtx1070ti. I was wondering what should I use for my encoding when streaming live to twitch.

look what performs best for you: either nvenc (gpu) or x264 (cpu)

I have the 1800x and I use x264 for my stream encoding and run at 1600x900 for my output resolution scaled down from 1080p and have zero issues streaming/gaming on the same machine.

Why 5000bitrate? I have my bitrate rate at 6000

Mind you, I use Nvidia inspector and have my FPS locked at 70 at the driver level to give it enough overhead. I get zero problems when playing heavy CPU bound games such as Witcher 3 with the CPU usage when streaming it at 1080p a few weeks back testing things sitting in the 85-90% range.

Honestly, no reason to run at 6k bitrate. Doesnt help anything, only hurts the end users in the long run if they are on slower networks or watching on mobile networks that throttle connectivity. For recording I use NVENC, but I dont ever record so I dont really use the settings or have tweaked them much. Only recording I do is locally for testing purposes, never to make or produce any content from them.
