Just theoretical at this point, I am spending two years on the other side of the planet in feb 2020 (uk to Aus) and am looking at selling some stuff off to pay for the trip, my vive, maybe my pc too as well as some other stuff, both me and my gf (who is coming too) really enjoy having the VR and are planning on replacing ti when we get back or if we stay over there, obviously there will be new stuff out by then, probably? who knows maybe VR will die all together by then.

on to my question, has anyone played with a vive pro? coz I'm thinking about that at the moment if the price comes down a bit, I have a 1070, which according to the site at least it should be more than powerful enough for the pro, but other than that google has given me either people bitching about a very overdone price point, or sound like a paid review, any help would be good

Id recommend waiting for the valve index. Better controllers. At least wait for the announce to see if it's good because I really think it'll crush the vive pro. I never really liked the vive pro tbh. I even prefer my own oculus rift over it.

Oh ya this is all very much just research at this point, not buying anything anytime soon, just seeing what people think of the area at the moment.

Ok. I think VRs a really cool area that I think can. If the companies play their cards right. Become the future of media consumption. Stay tuned for 1st May when the Valve index gets announced!

Haven't tried the Pro, but own a Vive and have used Rift. See what's around when you are ready to buy. IMO I don't think a 1070 really cuts it if you're going for the Pro or future alternative and you want the best graphical experience.
