Icons have blue arrows and SSD fills up by itself

galaxyrooter

I have a Samsung 850 evo 250gb and windows 10 on it. I dont know since when, but all of my icons have 2 blue arrows in up right corner and I dont want them.

Also, often my SSD gets to 20GB free and the last time I left it there was maybe 40GB free. Also I am not satisfied by the performance of my PC comparing to 1 year ago

Specs: I5 3570, 1050 ti, 12gb ram

btw on tf2, im getting drops to 35-40 fps but 1 year ago it didnt go below 100

Those two blue arrows means your files and folders are compressed by windows.
You can change that by going to Properties -> Advanced and unchecking "Compress content option"

It is how ever a good option to have enabled though.

Possibly the drive and  windows is trying to save space and it seems like the SSD is running down its course and getting to its end game.

dont believe as the ssd is only 1.5 years old

Samsung Magician says that totally 6.8TB is written and I think that the guarantee 75TB

SSD's are not components which relies on age, you might have Run through its write cycles quite fast some how by using the SSD as a main drive to install and uninstall softwares and random read write operations.
Just because its 1.5 Years old or 6 months old does not mean you can't slow it down or kill it within that time.
Any how the blue arrows means compression is on.
