Question about compatibility

I got a question and I hope one of u will be able to help me out 

 

I have a ryzen 5 2600x 

And 16gb of ram, rx470 4gb

 

My question is would a 2060 be a good upgrade/match for my system?

It's for gaming btw

Sure, but assuming this is for gaming, what resolution and refresh rate?

I'd probably push you to get a 1660ti

without a doubt, the 2060 is like 90%+ better than the rx 470 so if you have the cash i would do it

1080p an yes it's for gaming but I kinda want raytracing, does it make ur game looks a lot better or just a bit?

raytracing with a 2060 is gonna be iffy

You know, i got an RTX2070 through RMA and to this day i haven't played a single title with ray tracing

Trust me, you do not want ray tracing

Until they could make it work properly. You're better off having rasterized (rtx off) games even in RTX titles.

From my experience in the THREE games where it's available it doesn't really improve to much, lighting is nice, real time reflections are pretty cool, but the performance drop isn't worth what you get out of it. I've tested a few of the RTX cards and honestly you'd be better off getting the 1660ti in terms of price to performance and at 1080p. The 2060 wouldn't be worth it just for RTX. In my opinion RTX isn't worth getting into for consumers just yet. If you really want the 2060 then go for it, but the 1660ti is a pretty capable budget card I've used them in a couple budget builds now and they're great.

You can, of course; have the option to buy (used) 1070 or 1070 ti used since 1660 ti and 2060 respectively since they are similar but has more vram and more CUDAs in expense of memory type (GDDR5/X vs GDDR6)

About a few percent, depends on how dependent to get framerates above 60 fps, above 60 fps (average, not accounting for .1% low) is not noticeable even in freesync and g sync displays
