Kinect keeps "Diskinecting",

I plug it into my predator helios 300 usb 3.0 port with an adapter and it connects but disconnects after ~5 seconds. Never finishes downloading the driver.

Here are the requirements i found:

PSU DC/AC

IS AC       CHECK

PSU input:

= 240V     CHECK

PSU output

=> 12 V    CHECK

=> 2.4A    CHECK

USB:

=> 3.0      CHECK

= Intel or Renesas       CHECK

 

My adapter is a third party one and my kinect 2.0 was used from gamestop so its kind of hard to trust.

I successfully installed the latest drivers but the kinect still does not work. Now it stays on for ~5 seconds then quickly turns on and then on and then waits ~5 seconds, etc.
