Transferring a modded Skyrim

Inkz

So I am going to upgrade my mobo and CPU, which means yay a new os install. But I was wondering how would I transfer Skyrim with all the mods I have installed? I do use the NMM but some mods I have do not. So I need to account for both.

well with the nmm files it should be easy, it should tell you where they are stored, anyways you can always tell windows to keep your old files, i think it puts the old files in the users area under old windows.

Do I have to have my old copy of windows on a separate drive?

The easiest way is to copy the Data folder. Ususally in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data.

ok so you have windows on one drive eg a ssd and all the other stuff on another one as long as you set it up to windows to boot of drive x with the os you will be fine
