ModMic 4.0 keeps slipping off of the mount

KING OF THE DIRTY DANS

I have a modmic, and the magnetic mechanism has been slipping, when I set my headphones on my desk or pull the cord by mistake, I hear this awful noise in recordings and discord

Does anyone have a solution to this?

I was thinking a headphone holder or something

Sorry I missed this post originally: Still having the issue? I'm not sure what you mean by "slipping" - do you mean it is rotating in the clasp (either partially or fully)? One fix for this is to give a little "bubble" of wire between the mic and the first cable clip, this way if you pull on the cable it will pul on the headphone part first instead of the mic.

Let me know if that makes sense or if it is entirely the wrong problem.

Headphone holders exist too. I prefer an "omega" style or, if your desk has the room, an "anchor" style under-desk mount.
