I don’t use adobe everyday but I can’t say that I don’t use programs like that. When I do blurring in photoshop, my pc just stop for 15 secs,

Well, as @LukeSavenije said, even a cheaper SSD will improve your experience, but it won't make your old laptop feel like new, but it will improve it a lot.

Lol I won’t put the ssd on the laptop! And I amskşng that what exactly does ssd do? It improves reaction time on programs like adobe and......

Where are you putting it then? I answered your question about what SSD does already. If that answer was not enough, you can look it up online.

I will but which one? Should I use the one in my laptop? Should I buy samsung pro 960? I will never buy intel optane that shit breaks the bank!

Well, Samsung is fine, decent SSD. What is your budget for that build of yours? Crucial MX500 is a decent one too, get 1 TB if your budget allows that, but 500 GB is fine too.

Well if it does only effect productivity programs I would go with 500 GB because I would rather download things like games on a hdd because I don’t care the loading and opening times. What do you say? I mean I wouldn’t be using 1 TBs of productivity programs.

It  affects all programs, not only productivity, I never said that. Well, if you like waiting for a game to load, don't put your games in a SSD. I got 1 TB SSD and installed all my most played games on it. But it you like much longer loading times, it's your choice.

I am thinking to buy a new gaming rig with i7 9700k and rtx 2080 and put in a ssd

it can improve render times, as it can go through the data faster with a faster ssd

but again, how much capacity do you need, does every second count, what can it cost and how much will you write to it daily?

I mean you said it doesn’t effect fps and that’s what I call performance. You said it could decrase reaction time in adobe and and its a different definition of performance imo.

only in REALLY heavy texture games, but that doesn't happen often.

A crucial p1 might be a good option, but it depends a bit on your answers to my questions

like about max 500 bucks maybe

it does every second count

in things like rendering a video, no but in things that are done real time like working in adobe Hell Yes!

If I knew it I wouldn’t ask , If it only effects things like adobe even 240 GBs would be enough but if it effects everything I woukd need 10TBs(exaggerating)

so it is a part of my question and I don’t care things like loading time.

ah, so time scrubbing is important?

I'd do a scratch disk with a 970 evo/pro then, just copy your needed files to there, and don't use it for anything else. get a ssd for os, and a cached hdd for the other things (optane 32 gigs is enough for that)

and you'd be one of the only I'd recommend a 9900k to

can you give some examples?

WD black, 970 for the really high performance

p1 for high, but less performance

mx500 or 860 evo for good enough

I'd say Samsung 860 EVO or something similar to its range that writes at up to 520MB/s. Probably won't burn a hole in your wallet as the price point starts around $60. Hopefully, it would speed up your rendering on adobe even while working on something massive. I'm not able to say if the SSD speed alone determines how well photoshop related utilities run smooth. HDDs are also a pretty much convenient option and especially WD. WD has 3 variants that cover major preference that users ought to buy them for. If you're dubious on choosing between an SDD or WD HDD, give it a read before your make your choice. I did go thorough comparisons such as tekhattan's before I chose to buy a WD purple to backup my heap of files.
