Trouble Installing Hackintosh (Ryzen)

jakep0802

Recently, I tried making my system a Hackintosh.  I used the tutorial in the parenthesis (https://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?t=6029), yet it is not working. After the part where it says, "If you followed the tutorial up to this point . . .", it won't work. I have put an image below of what it looks like when I try and start from "Install macOS from Mojave" (Ignore the fact that I am using a TV, lol) Could someone please help me?

My reading indicates there are no kernel extensions for Ryzen yet which would make the OS hard to impossible to use for anything other than maybe web browsing and basic tasks. (Even something as simple as FaceTime or messenger may not work) You need Intel VTX to run a lot of programs. This is probably the main reason most people building a hackintosh use an Intel chip.

I’m definitely not an expert on the subject so take what I say with a grain of salt. I’ve never ever done a hackintosh before.

Thanks. I haven't really read into what would make a good Hackintosh. I probably should've done some more research, my bad.

I may have been wrong. Maybe look at this? Looks like it’s a very recent development but looks promising. There are AMD specific steps to take to get the kernel working properly.
