Intel Backdoor(IME)

Go to solution Solved by Mira Yurizaki,

This has been brought up time and time again. Like here's an article from 2017 going over the vulnerabilities of the IME: https://www.howtogeek.com/334013/intel-management-engine-explained-the-tiny-computer-inside-your-cpu/ . I haven't really been keeping up with the latest kerfluffle if there really is one. However, vulnerabilities are not backdoors. A backdoor is a deliberate weakness put in place.

Also while everyone's pooping on Intel, let's not forget AMD has a similar system in place called Platform Security Processor, and has had a couple of vulnerabilities disclosed.
