I have a Ryzen 2600 on a b450 aourus pro. I have a samsung 250gig 940 SSD I am using as the boot drive and a Intel 660p m.2 installed. I tried installing a second 660p. But when I went to the bios it showed both 660p's but not the SSD. I removed the second 660p and the SSD showed back up like nothing had happened. Whats going on here?

from the product page:

  • 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSD support) (M2A_SOCKET)
  • 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD support)(M2B_SOCKET)
  • 6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
  • Support for RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 10
    * Refer to "1-7 Internal Connectors," for the installation notices for the M.2 and SATA connectors.

i know for a fact that some sata ports are disabled when using muti-m.2 drives when both in use or some other restrictions. please read the Manuel for more details.

this is common practice on most MB these days or shared data lanes

There is no enemy. The foe on the battlefield is merely the manifestation of that which we must overcome. The doubt, and fear, and despair. Every battle is fought within. Conquer the battlefield that lies inside you, and the enemy disappears like the illusion it is.
