so I am very new to PC, I just got all my parts Friday and put it together the same day. My problem is that when im playing games on my PC my GPU usage rate (according to task manager) is 95%-99%. is that normal when playing games? I have a EVGA 2080, if that is not normal how do I fix that? thanks

That's how balanced gaming PC works. GPU must always be at max load when playing demanding games.

You're totally fine.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

do you have vsync turned on? if not your card will render as many frames as it can handel thus putting at at 100% or close. but indeed you're fine, nothing to worry about

Just now, InfiniteVip3r said:

I have V sync turned off in games yes, and thanks guys I really appreciate it

You could turn it on, usually reduces gpu usage and thus lowers the temp or your card. You don't want it to run too hot for a long periode of time, could affect the lifespan. Not dramatically or maybe not even noticeable but it might. Also when the gpu is outputting much more frames then your monitor can handle, you might end up with tearing all over your screen. Just play around with it and leave it where you feel it gives you the best experience or most comfort. You won't break your card if you either turn it on or off
