this question was buggering my mind for a loooooong time;

lets say you have an android phone you for a while used it and one day you decided to install custom roms (such as cyanogenmod) and phone is hard bricked (which is VERY hard to achieve) when you RMA it how will the service will check if the nand or stock rom is compromised? since the device is dead i think they dont try too hard when they cant read the nand so they will change the chip or send you a new device anyone had experience with this ?
