Which is better?

hi guys! just want to ask, Which is better?

overclocking my sapphire hd6950 or flashing its bios and get it running as a 6970?

i know its an old card but it still performs well...

It doesnt really matter because it is still a 6950 under the bonnet so I would stick with the 6950 and overclock it

Try unlocking it, then stress test for stability, they lock those cores for a reason so don't expect a miracle.

will there be a different stress between overclocking or unlocking the gpu which might shorten the life of my card?

sorry guys, i just dont have any idea what will happen if i do both....

I already downloaded the unlocking program from tech power up

and i also have some guide and value to overclock my gpu.

just waiting for your ideas guys

Just save your money and overclock the card to get better performance.
