Hello. Sometime ago, about 2 months I'd say, my PC was getting really good FPS in all the games I was playing. For a quick example, I was getting around +80 FPS on Rust, +500 FPS on Minecraft and +200 on League of Legends. Then I decided to reinstall my Windows as my Desktop was full of random folders ETC.. and so I reinstalled my Windows.

After that, I also updated all my drivers, everything was fine. Until I get on a game and realise the FPS were a lot lower, and for some reason I decided to reinstall the Windows again, as maybe something wasn't installed correctly.

Again, I installed all of my drivers and the lower FPS were still there, sometimes getting around 80 FPS on Minecraft, maybe even lower.

I reinstalled the Windows again, and the FPS were not as low as the 2nd time I reinstalled it, but they were still significantly lower than what I was used to. <- Also this is the Windows I'm still playing on.

Now I started playing Rust again, and the FPS is just.. bad. It goes over 70 on good days but stays at 50-65..

The specifications are the following:

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB from Gigabyte.

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.41 GHz

Memory: 16GB of Ram

Motherboard: MSI Z-170A Pro

PSU: (Some 650W Corsair)

Storage: 1TB HDD and 240 GB SSD

Windows: Windows 10 Home version 1809 (64 bit)

BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 1.B0, 5/11/2016

What could it be?

I also tried to overclock the GPU using Msi Afterburner, but there seems to be no significant difference.

Also, Rust only uses 80% of the GPU and uses 10GB of Ram.

Please let me know if I missed any specs and thanks for your patience.

I have been getting worse FPS over time as well.

I have a 1080, yet I can hardly keep 60 FPS 1440p (NOT 4K) in GTA V or Wolfenstein II : The New Colossus.

Pascal optimization is non existent anymore

Hello and thanks for the answer. I'm aware that using a PC over time will eventually lower the FPS in games, but I only started getting lower FPS after a Windows reinstall.
