VPN's

Hi,

 

I am following Linus Tech Tips for quite a while now.

Over the time you guys recommended different VPN's but you guys never touched on the subject what VPN is the best right now.

Or what makes a VPN good or bad.

I did a little research on my own and I found many reviewsites listing VPN's for their purpose like mobile, browser, extra security and so on.

If I connect to a VPN I dont want my speed cut in 4 for doing basic stuff.

 

Could you guys elaborate on this for me?

I prefer hosting my own VPN server and using that.

Yeah you're right. There are actually different VPNs created for specific purposes, but nonetheless can be used for general reasons why there are VPNs in the first place. And you're right, I've seen many review sites doing specific reviews for VPN purposes like this one: https://cooltechzone.com/free-vpn-for-kodi which obviously talks baout VPNs for Kodi but if you check the list inside, those are free VPN services that you can use for different purposes too. So what I do after seeign these types of lists is that I do more research per VPN softwar/service to really see their features, what are they for, etc.
