Hi my name is James and this will be my first build but I have been researching building my on computer for over a year. I think this set up is fairly decent but any tips or suggestions would be welcomed. This build is mostly for gaming and a little video and photo editing.

parts list:

i7 3770k -$330

P8Z77-I DELUXE/WD -$190

EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SuperClocked+ -$500

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600 -$70

CORSAIR CX600M -$80

SAMSUNG 840 Series 250GB SATA III -$190

bitenix prodigy-$90

cpu cooler (undecided) -($1-$100)

Total around about $1500

Thanks for all your help!

Looks to be a sweet build :D

My suggestion would be to go for something like a H80i for the CPU cooler as it has a very low footprint on the motherboard its self. (Obviously if you can spend a little extra the H100i is even better.)

Have fun building and I look forward to seeing a build log for this.

I personally wouldn't go the 680 route. Their performance increase isn't worth the extra cost over a 670 or a 7970 which can be like half the price.
Seconded. Either go 670 or go Titan. Or 7970, which actually makes a bit of sense.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
