Hi, I am currently a third year student studying Electrical Engineering and am obtaining my minor in Computer Science. My 4-year old Dell Inspiron Laptop has gotten out of date.  I have a few specs that I am looking for in a laptop, but I am unsure what to look for:

1) I am looking for a i7-8th Generation CPU

2) I would like a decent battery life around 5-6 hours, but nothing less than 4 hours.

3) A 14"-15.6" screen with thin bezzels

I would like to use this laptop for regular programming, Schematic modelling, and a small amount of gaming/video streaming (i.e. YouTube and games such as Fallout/Overwatch).  I was looking at the ASUS UX533, MSI GP73, and the Aero 15X.  I am not wanting to go over 1750 USD. If you have any recommendations for me, I would really appreciate it!

A 1060 is fine for what you want to do (get a 1070 if youre feeling like it)

For storage, as much as you can fit in there

Get a 2 TB 2.5inch HDD and and 512 gig ssd

i7 6700k, GTX 1080, Crucial MX 300, Maximus VII Hero, WD Blue, 16 GB RAM

I am going to University in Minnesota.  That was also another thing I was thinking about. I want it to be light, but that is very arbitrary.  It can be from 3-5lbs (1.36 kg to 2.27 kg).  Also, I was wanting something built well.  Not anything with too much flex.
